Setting up Smart Phone to Check Current TCC Email

Each smart phone is different so we're not going to cover the steps to get into the email setup for each phone but we do have some particular settings for you to make sure you use:

Mail Server Type: POP3
Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
Incoming Port Number: 110
Outgoing Port Number: 25 (or use 587 if 25 does not work)
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication? Yes
Username/Login: Your TCC username/login name
Password: Your TCC password
Use SSL (Secure Socket Layer)? No

Emailing with Exisiting Email Account with Verizon Aircard Service

If you are connecting to the Internet via VZW Aircard and wish to continue using your exisiting Email Account, you will need to change your SMTP server so you send mail through VZW's server. Here's how:

In Outlook Express, Outlook, Windows Mail or Windows Live mail, go to Tools/Accounts, select the mail account that you want to use (or set one up), click the "Servers" tab.

Incoming mail server (pop3) is whatever you use from your provider, like mail.airstreamcomm.net.
Under SMTP, type smtp.vzwmail.net.
Then check the box that says "My server requires authentication".

Now click the "Settings" button. Click the "Log on using" circle. The User Name is your air card phone number. If you have a cell phone with them as well, your cell number will work too. The password is the same one that you use to log into your account on verizonwireless.com to view your bill, etc. Check the "Remember Password" box.

Click OK until you are back to the Accounts screen.

Click Close. All done!
