 TCC 2011 Digital Conversion

TCC is upgrading it's Cable TV signal to All-Digital. Digital technology has become an important part of all our lives and improves how much of today's technology can be harnessed and used effectively. We think cable TV should be no different. In fact, we began a progression to digital almost 15 years ago with the construction of our enhanced fiber-optic broadband cable system.

As you know from the network broadcaster transition that occured in 2009, all people receiving antenna service were required to have a digital converter box. TCC did not require our customers without set-top receivers to make any changes at that time. They could continue to get Basic cable channels without any extra equipment. (e.g. connect a cable coax line from a cable wall outlet to the back of their TV/VCR)

Now it was become essential for TCC to upgrade to an all-digital signal in order to add new channels, make adjustments to current packages and improve our service.

We will still offer the same channel packages (Basic, Digital, HD) but moving forward, all TV's connected to our Cable System will need to have one of the following:

(A) TCC DCT or DVR receiver

DVR
DCT

(B) Newer TV with built-in "QAM" tuner

(C) TCC DTA converter box

DTA

More info about DVR receivers   Check your TV for a QAM tuner   Request DTA box(es)

TCC will begin converting analog channels to the digital format by the end of November, 2011.

We will have all analog channels (Basic cable channels) converted within a matter of weeks to months. If you
do not have either a TCC receiver, DTA box or TV with a built-in QAM tuner, channels that TCC converts to digital
will no longer tune in. We strongly urge you to see how many DTA boxes you need and order them from us
now instead of waiting until we begin converting stations.
